Part of your car payment and gas bill can also be deducted. You will want to keep track of all the mileage you put on your car, and keep your receipts when you fuel up. Keep track of which miles were for personal use (i.e. the grocery store or driving to work) and which were specifically used for your business. It is also, obviously, very important to keep track of your expenses and income related to your home based business. Keep all receipts from purchases that have anything to do with your work from home business. For example, when you buy ink and paper for your printer to print off advertisements, it is deductible. Business lunches can be partially deductible.

The cost of hardware and software relevant to your homebiz can be deductible.

However, keeping track of your income is equally important, if not more so. You need to be able to correctly report your earnings for the year to ensure you are paying the correct amount of taxes on your income.

Keep careful records and all original receipts of all sales you make.

As a bit of a movie buff I recently discovered that the best way to rent movies and games these days is online using one of the Online DVD and Game Rental Services.

If you’re into renting movies or games these services simply can’t be beat for their time saving convenience and value.

The two biggest and probably most well known services are Netflix and Blockbuster.

Though they both work essentially the same way Netflix seems to be the largest of the online DVD rental services. Currently boasting over 3 million members.

How many people are there that would love to add some muscle to their skinny frame? Or maybe you’re carrying some extra weight around that you would like to get rid of and tone up your body at the same time. A lot of people would love to get started on a strength training routine but they don’t have the necessary information to do so. The first rule to abide by when you’re beginning to train is to only train each body part once per week. Many new trainees are so eager to get going that they often over train and instead of maximizing their muscle gains they actually lose muscle. It’s often viewed as too little work to only do each body part per week, but as a new trainee it’s more then enough. When training, another rule of thumb to go by is to train each body part in the order of largest to smallest. A good example of a routine that follows these rules would be something like, Quadriceps and hamstrings (legs) on Monday, Back on Tuesday, Chest on Wednesday, shoulders on Thursday and biceps and triceps on Friday. By using this sample routine for a while you will be able to see how much rest each body part is getting and change the days around if need be.

It is best to choose a compound exercise for each body part that you can use to track your progress. This would include exercises such as the squat or dead lift for your legs, weighted chin-ups or bent rows for your back, bench press for your chest, barbell military press for your shoulders and close grip presses for your triceps and barbell curls for your biceps. The key is to do these exercises at the beginning of your workouts so your energy levels are at 100 % which will make it easier for you to monitor your progress from week to week. It is also advisable to keep these lifts pretty heavy, which in return will tell you that you’re progressing every time you can add some weight to them.

Now that you have the exercises we need to put them into a workout for you to get going. A great basic starting point is to do every exercise for 3 sets of 8 repetitions. You should also precede each initial set with 2 light warm up sets. For your first real set you should try to go as close to failure as you can, (complete the sets with enough strength to do 1 or 2 more reps) the second set should go fully to failure (unable to complete even one more rep) and the third set should utilize at least one forced rep (another rep completed with the assistance of a partner).

If you’re willing to stick to the above prescribed routine and give it all that you’ve got, I guarantee you that you will start to see a noticeable difference in your musculature and overall well being. Take the plunge and create the body you’ve always wanted.

National Do Not Call Registry On The Horizon

Growing tired of those pesky telemarketing calls during the middle of dinner ? Don’t want to buy the latest “gizmo” to zap or block their unsolicited calls ? Well , the federal government has finally heard our complaints loud and clear and help is on the way.

President George W. Bush signed the Omnibus appropriations bill which will provide funding for the Federal Trade Comission (FTC) to develop a national Do Not Call registry in the next several months.

Prior to the establishment of this national registry consumers had limited choices to fight back against the telemarketers: 1) Don’t answer / block / “zap” their calls 2) Hang up on them 3) Request to be placed on their private “Do Not Call” list.

Now however, consumers like us will have the opportunity to sign up for a free national “Do Not Call” registry this summer. Additional details about signing up for the registry and how telemarketers can access it will be detailed later this spring.

Here are some of the details available now: 1) Consumers will be able to register for free online or by calling a toll-free number beginning in July. To handle the onslaught of calls anticipated, sign-up will occur region-by-region over an 8-week period. 2) Telemarketers will be required to “clean” their call lists by matching their list against the national “do not call” list every 90 days starting in September 2003. 3) The FTC and state government will begin to enforce the use of the national “Do Not Call” list in October 2003. Violators are subject to fines of up to $11,000 per violation.

So even if you favorite baseball team isn’t doing well come mid-September, you’ll have at least one thing to look forward to this fall - less annoying telemarketer calls.

Caution: There have already been reports of scam artists and identity thieves calling people to request or confirm personal information in regards to the Do Not Call List.

NEVER give your personal information such as your social security number or a credit card number to prove your age or identity. No one from the government or any other agency will call to confirm your information. This is an “opt-in” service only, meanig you must initiate your registration when the service becomes available.

I don’t wanna knock Paris Hilton and I have nothing against her but why is so she famous? Is it because of her looks? Her talent? Because she’s rich? Because she’s sexy? Brilliant?

If it’s her looks, is she better looking than a host of other female beauties like Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stafanie, Angelina Jollie, etc., etc.?

If it’s her talent, what talent? Can she really act, sing, dance, produce or direct?

Is she brilliant?

Someone may say it’s because she’s sexy, but is she more sexy than Pamela Anderson, Jenna Jamison, Selma Hayek, Nicole kidman, Christina Ricci, Halle Berry, or a slew of other attractive female celebrities who don’t receive nearly the attention she does?

Is it because she’s rich? Now we can all agree that she damn sure is rich! That’s the thing that initially got her the media spotlight.

But there’s another factor we’re overlooking in our quest for the answer to why she so famous: her infamous sex tape! That tape really helped put her on the media map didn’t it? A timely sex tape can really grab the public’s attention and light up one’s career just ask Pamela Anderson, Rob Lowe etc.

One talent Paris Hilton does seem to have is the ability to work the media and keep her image in the center of the public and media spotlight. The Media never met a celebrity it didn’t like! And she certainly knows how to keep the guys attention doesn’t she, fellas?

But the real reason Paris is so famous is…..You guessed it…..Us! We the public never met a celebrity we didn’t like either! For all of Paris’ sexiness, beauty, “talent” and wealth, if we the public, weren’t so fascinated with the rich and famous would we even know who her name?

Some of us live vicariously through the lives of the rich and famous, wishing that we could live the lives they live and do the things they do. Some of us fantasize about being involved with them! Some of us love them, some of us hate them, but they’re the center of our attention! These factors are all part of the reason for Paris Hilton’s celebrity and why she so famous.

Vertigo, a 1958 suspense film, was directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Many people beleive that this film is Hitchcock’s masterpiece.

The movie tells the story of a detective in San Francisco. The detectives name is Scottie who is played by James Stewart. Scottie leaves the police force after a fellow policeman falls and dies while the two were chasing a criminal across rooftops in downtown San Francisco. Unemployed at the time an old friend hires Scottie for his services to his wife Madeleine who is played by Kim Novak. His friend, Gavin Elster, claims that Madeleine often is found staring off into space and will even occasionally drive to an unkown point and than later have no memory of it. Scottie is skeptical, but Gavin believes Madeleine has a mental illness in which is possessed by a spirit of someone long dead.

Scottie follows Madeleine for several days. As he watches her, she visits the grave of a woman named Carlotta Valdes who killed herself years ago, makes frequent visits to an art museum where she spends long periods of time gazing at a large potrait of Carlotta, and rents a room at a hotel which was once Carlotta’s home. Madeleine dresses like Carlotta, with identical hairstyle and jewlery. This behaviour is very perculiar to Scottie. Madeleine faints one day and falls into a lake. Scottie gets her out from the water and brings her to his apartment. He sets her to lie in front of the fire to dry off. Here the two fall in love.

The above is just a quick play by play of events in the first part of vertigo. I don’t want to ruin the movie but more just give you an idea of what the movie is about without watching it. Most notably the film is known for Hitchcock’s famous Cinematic qualities like the “Hitchcock zoom,”.
